Descriptif de fonction
The Princess Elisabeth Island project consists of the following elements (Packages):
- Build an artificial energy island to house offshore HVAC and HVDC transmission infrastructure within the Princess Elisabeth windfarm area
- Offshore 66 kV and 220 kV AC substation (located on the island)
- Six 220kV AC cable systems to connect the artificial energy to shore
- One Offshore HVDC Converter Station (located on the island)
- One DC Switching Station (located on the island and serving the connection of future interconnectors with European countries
The AC and DC substations consist of onshore constructed topsides/modules that will be transported to the energy Island. The installation on the island will be executed by either a lifting vessel or by a barge + SPMT’s. After installation the modules be interconnected, for which a logistics campaign (material + personnel) will be set-up.
the Substation Packages we are looking for a Lead T&I + logistics, who is responsible for all topic related to the temporary accommodation on/near the Island, the logistics (personal and materials) and the transport and installation concept of the high voltage topsides/modules.
General Info of the Substation Packages assignment:
The Princess Elisabeth Island will be located in the Belgian part of the North Sea, following the designation by Belgium’s Government in the Marine Spatial Plan 2020-2026 of new zones for production and transmission of renewable energy (“Princess Elisabeth windfarm area”) and shall be prepared to later: house AC and HVDC transmission infrastructure.
These AC and DC transmission infrastructure has been divided in different contracts of which the EPCI contracts are in the final tender stage and the logistics and temporary accommodation contract is to be launched.
The Lead T&I + logistics:
- Reports to the Substation Package manager;
- Will setup a temporary accommodation and logistics concept, create the required specifications and ensures an in time contract;
- Will manage these temporary accommodation and logistics contracts;
- Will liaise with the different packages and the Marine and Island coordinator to ensure efficient more operations;
- Will be the point of contact for T&I operations of the EPCI contractors;
- Will join workshop, HAZIDs, review sessions related to the T&I concept of the EPCI contractors
- Will manage a team of experts/engineers;
- Shall encourage the project team to behave as real safety leaders;

- Experience in offshore logistics and transport operations
- Experience in the offshore sector is a must
