Service Description:
The Engineering Expertise Secondary Systems department is responsible for developing the standards to be applied in infrastructure projects. These standards pertain to the electrical equipment for the protection system, control system, automation, and measurement of the high-voltage installations within the electrical grid.
The Designer Specialist Expertise Secondary Systems service is responsible for:
- Verifying standard plans/designs (“typicals”) provided by suppliers.
- Participating, when necessary, in factory acceptance tests of electrical equipment, which may take place abroad.
- Creating symbols in AutoCAD based on suppliers’ plans/designs.
- Preparing and/or verifying standard plans (protection block diagrams and detailed principle diagrams) based on concept notes, standards, approved equipment, methodologies, and guidelines for their application in investment projects.
- Managing their own planning according to priorities and deliverables.
- Being responsible for updating and maintaining all standards/tools that use macros/VBA in Excel across the entire domain of secondary systems.
- Designing, maintaining, or updating additional tools in Excel as needed.
Vaardigheden
Additional Requirements:
- Educational background: Professional bachelor's degree in Energy Technology, Electromechanics, or equivalent through experience (an engineering degree is overqualified for this position).
- Essential skills for the role:
- Solid foundational knowledge of electricity.
- Ability to read, understand, and analyze electrical schematics.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Good knowledge of Windows Office applications.
- Perfect command of Dutch and/or French, with a good understanding of the second national language and English, given the frequent interactions with international suppliers.
- Willingness to develop expertise to a high and specific level.
